The Friends of IDEO
Supporting and publicizing Idéo
Established in 1992, “Les Amis de l’Idéo” is an association operating under French Law of 1901, with its headquarters located at 20 rue des Tanneries in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. Its primary objective is to promote awareness of the Dominican institute of oriental studies (Idéo) and its mission, as well as to assist in funding and supporting its various projects. Notably, the association plays a key role in financing the acquisitions for Idéo’s research library, which was inaugurated in Cairo in 2002 and serves as an accessible resource for students and researchers from Egypt and around the world. Additionally, it contributes to the publication of Idéo’s scholarly journal, MIDÉO.
The association is led by Mr. Jean Félix-Paganon, a former French ambassador to Egypt, with the assistance of a board of directors.

Planned Giving
The International Dominican Foundation is aware that many people generously wish to make larger gifts in support of non-profits and charities such as IDF. This allows a donor to provide for their charitable giving apart from their regular incomes. Some people use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for a charity and their heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize its impact on the donor’s estate. For more information on Planned Giving please get in touch with the IDF office (info@intldom.org).
Charitable Funds
Some of our benefactors would like to establish for the on-going goals of their choice, such as an endowed fund for student scholarships, for scholarly research, or the ongoing practical support of institutions. IDF at present has several such funds and they have been our most consistent way of meeting the needs of the IDF projects. If you would like more information please write us at: International Dominican Foundation; United States National Office; 1 Galleria Blvd., Suite 710-B; Metairie, LA 70001; USA.
