Objective
Following on from the 200 and Adawāt project, Idéo has developed biblioeconomy software that makes it possible to establish links between works and authors and uncovers connections or filiations that help to overcome the sometimes hermetic nature of research. The aim of this project is to continue the work of cataloguing and referencing sources, and to promote the publication of a new critical edition
of an Islamic heritage text. This edition should enable students and teachers to discover little-known resources, and to base their own research on a humanist vision of openness to others, enshrined in a tradition, such as the rights of neighbours or Islamic heritage literature on civility (adab).
The Chair is funding post-docs to publish unpublished manuscripts with a humanist scope.
Publication
→ The publication of the edition will give rise to a seminar presenting the edition and an introductory analysis of the text by researchers in the field concerned.
→ In addition to publishing, the aim is to ensure that the texts are made available to a wide audience via the internet and other entertaining methods.

The vocation of the Institute of Arabic Manuscripts is to search, analyse and document ancient manuscripts and historical texts from arabic heritage. The results and related analyses published by the institution help to preserve the arab culture for the future generations
